Fluffy Updo Tutorial

NotoriousLYNappy1 writes:

The Fluffed Up Updo is nice because it’s a style you can wear to any occasion that can be modified easily for sleekness or volume, depending on the look you want.

I attached some pics from two different times I’ve done the style that show different textures of the style!

Natural Wedding Styles and Tips from The Good Hair Shop

“Nappily Ever After”

Kiyomi Writes:

These styles can be duplicated with natural hair cuties without locs as well. A great tip I offer my brides with locs is to have the “prep” work ( hot oil treatment, wash, retwist, hair set on rods, etc.) a day before your wedding, then have your stylist complete the style on the big day.

Lona and Antonio's Sunrise Wedding on Fort Lauderdale Beach

Lona Writes:

Please note that our wedding was a recession proof wedding, whole wedding done under $200 on October 2, 2009 and I must admit that it was better than the $10,000 wedding that I had started planning for.  I would like to suggest to upcoming brides that they consider simplifying the ceremony and cut costs by having a sunrise service with breakfast immediately following. This will cut the cost drastically and guarantee that the attendees will be people who really want to be there.  It was a great way to weed out those who we thought were important to us because they didn’t want to attend at 7:11 am.  No worries because we had a great time without them.  I’m a bargain hunter, and I have tons of advice if you need any assistance.

About Batise’s style:

My stylist created a braided bun. She braided my hair and then twisted it up an held it with pins. She kept a few locks down and used rods to make some curly tendrils. I loved it. It sat high enough so that it showed above the tiara. When I took it down, I had nice curls.
